Hello reality

So, 

I’m sure if you are friends with me then you have seen a social networking explosion concerning a kickstarter that my friends, my boyfriend, and I have created. I haven’t really explained what it’s all about on here so I thought I would enlighten you…also this is the surprise that I was talking about a while ago..sorry it took me so long.

Last August my boyfriend agreed to a crazy idea that I had. I wanted to start a clothing company. We knew that we couldn’t do it alone so we pitched the idea to our friends Andrew Traylor and his girlfriend Elizabeth Clark and thankfully they agreed to help us out. After tons of meetings on Monday and Tuesday nights for the whole year, kōəˈles Clothing was born. This has been a really fun project to be a part of. I am so thankful to be working with some of my best friends!

Our clothing line will be different in that when you buy a piece of clothing an identical piece of clothing is given away. Our company strives to be environmentally friendly, and fair trade. We accomplish this goal through TSDesigns (check them out, they are awesome). This information is on our Kickstarter in detail, so look it up!

So we have created a Kickstarter, which is a website that helps art projects get funded. When you pledge a certain amount of money, you get a special incentive for doing so. If we do not reach our goal in 90 days we won’t get any of the money so please help us out!

When this semester is over with maybe i’ll have time do things like blog. We shall see.

Happy Crafty Monday

So a lot of my friends have been encouraging me to start an ETSY page. I think I’m going to. I just love doing all these crafts. It’s so much fun. So I have a couple more pictures of my hairbows. 

Here’s some other things that I have been working on.

Today and every day.

It’s about that time. That blue dress time. I can’t believe it’s here. My best friend’s wedding weekend. Cheese and rice. Time has gone by so fast. I am so excited and happy for her. Hannah is a wonderful person with a huge heart and she deserves all the happiness in the world. I’m so glad that her and Jake found each other. I’m so honored to be a part of her wedding, and to be around for another huge milestone in her life. I mean i’ve been there since birth. It’s only natural that I’m here for her wedding :)

So here is to you, Hannah Johnson almost Clements. Congratulations and I wish yall many happy and memorable years to come. Know that I will always be here for you. I love you. 

Hello world

Here are some updated crafts. I just like to share my world with you :)

I made this for my friend who is getting married. She is going to be a teacher like me so I thought she could put this on her desk at school or something. I was not trying to be ghetto with the K at the end. I wrote the K and put an 18 for the number because that is going to be her new last name initial and 18 is the day they get married. Tried to be a little creative.

I know this is kind of a crappy picture, but my camera just does not like to take pictures of my hairbows for some reasons. I was trying to experiment with different colors and numbers of flowers. 

I didn’t get a take a picture of my favorite one, but you can see it in the picture with all the flowers. It’s the single blue one. I wear that one a lot. 

So there you have it. My world as of today. I have some really cute things that I have done for my friends get together this weekend, but I have to wait till after the party to put it up. 

Would anyone like a hairbow, or I could make it into a broch, or whatever you would like. I’m thinking about charging $4….$3 Is that too much?? Who knows I’m not good at this stuff.

Seriously, my friends rock.

Yesterday was just a really good friend day.

I love going to lunch with a friend every Wednesday. You know who you are and I love you. I just meet this girl this year, and now we are best friends. We are even starting a business together with our friend boys. Well they are boyfriends, but sometimes it’s just fun to call them friend boys. I love this girl. I feel like I can tell her anything, and she will be there when I need her. And i hope she knows the love will be shown right back to her if needed.

I got to talk with several of my friends that I have met while I have been in college. Let’s get this straight. I just met these girls 4 years ago. 4. Now I’m going to be in two of their weddings. Crazy right. I love them.

Then I talked with one of the girls that I have been friends with since kindergarten. We haven’t talked in a while, but she knows that if she ever needs to talk to someone I’m there, and she needed someone to talk to, or rather vent to because sometimes boys struggle (i tried to say that as nicely as possible), so I was there. No questions asked. I love when I can help a friend out.

and finally last night I needed some help. One of my dear friends, and old roommate was there when I needed here. No questions asked. We hadn’t talked in weeks, yet she was there for me, and I know that she always will be. Geez, I’m blessed. Ka-Bu loves you chels!

Welcome to craft city

So this whole craft thing has been taken a whole new level…and I love it. The other day I found another thing on stumble upon to make these rosette hairbows. I usually try and make the things that I find on stumble upon that do not require a needle and thread. I found the process on stumble upon  but I created the hairbows, and the different designs.

I did a couple that were just black, white, and grey but the pictures didn’t turn out to great. Some of my friends have been telling me to sell them…or start a business. Who knows. If you would like one, let me know. I have a lot of colors, or you can go to the craft store and buy your own felt. Ya girl will hook you up :)

piece of mind

I have been in a really weird place since yesterday afternoon. My mom called me while I was at school and told me that my grandparents house had been broken into. Their TV had been stolen, as well as my bemommy’s jewelry box.

My bemommy and grandaddy will have been married for 50 years in June. Not only were her wedding rings in that jewelry box but every necklace, ring, bracelet, and earring that my grandaddy had ever given to her was in that box. Any anniversary or holiday, my grandaddy’s go to present was jewelry, so you can imagine how much was in that box.

This really hurts me to think about. Not the money that was all the jewelry, but the memories. Being the sentimental person that I am this kills me. 

50 years.

That jewelry represented that. 

I understand that it’s material things, and we shouldn’t be wrapped up in material stuff, but think about the memories and meaning behind the rings. 

50 years of marriage. 2 kids. A son-in-law and a daughter-in-law. A granddaughter. A grandson. 

Woof.

The saddest thing about all of this is that they didn’t just take material things. They took my grandparents piece of mind. They took my piece of mind.

I have been really close with my bemommy and grandaddy since I was born. Their house was like a second home to me. I stayed there a lot. I’m actually going to be staying there next week. I will probably be terrified to sleep there. Yes, I am a huge scaredy cat in the dark. I can’t help it. But who wouldn’t be a little scared when someone so easily busted down the door just a week before.

I guess what i’m asking for is your prayers. Not that they will get all that stuff back. My grandmother would love to just have her wedding rings back, and they have gone to different pawn shops with pictures and things, but that may never happen. What I am asking for is to pray for my grandparents. My bemommy is sketched out about staying at her house during the day by herself. Can you blame her? And I’m sure my grandaddy doesn’t like the fact that he has to sleep with a gun on his bedside table just in case at his own house.

Sorry if this was depressing. I started writing this post yesterday morning when I was really upset about this. I feel a little better about the whole situation, and have talked to my grandmother. She isn’t as upset as I thought she would be, which is good. I guess through all of this you have to stay as positive as possible. In the words of JMC I just really hope whoever took all that stuff really needed the money.
